BJD president and Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik will embark on a seven‑day visit to New Delhi starting Tuesday afternoon.
Sources said the former chief minister is travelling to the national capital for personal work and is expected to remain there until next week.
Patnaik is scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar around 1 pm. His extended stay in Delhi comes at a time when Odisha’s political landscape is witnessing heightened activity.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will also travel to New Delhi on Tuesday, departing Bhubaneswar at approximately 3:30 pm. During his visit, Majhi is slated to attend an important meeting with the Ministry of Jal Shakti, focusing on Odisha’s water resources and related issues.
