Odisha’s rural products are getting a national and international platform as the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) participates in the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav (BVM) 2026 in New Delhi for the first time.
The four-day business event is being held from August 12 to 15 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan. ORMAS is showcasing products from all 30 districts of Odisha, with a focus on expanding market access, building business partnerships and creating export opportunities for rural producers.

The ORMAS pavilion features a wide range of products that reflect Odisha’s rich craft traditions and rural entrepreneurship.
The collection includes handlooms, handicrafts, home décor items, accessories, spices and other food products. Rural producer groups, artisans, weavers and entrepreneurs from across the state are getting an opportunity to present their products before national and international buyers.
The pavilion was formally inaugurated by Dr Monica Priyadarshini, IAS, CEO of ORMAS. The Additional CEO (Finance), ORMAS, and other officials were also present at the inauguration.
Focus on B2B opportunities and exports
ORMAS’s participation goes beyond product promotion. The organisation is using the platform to create B2B business opportunities and stronger market linkages for Odisha’s rural producers.
The event is expected to connect producer groups and entrepreneurs with buyers, traders, exporters and other business stakeholders. It also provides opportunities for networking and exploring potential partnerships.
The initiative aims to help Odisha’s rural products reach wider markets while creating new avenues for business and livelihood opportunities.
ORMAS expands presence in Delhi
The participation in BVM 2026 follows ORMAS’s establishment of a pop-up store at DLF Avenue, Saket, New Delhi.
Together, these initiatives are designed to increase the visibility of Odisha’s rural products in major markets and provide producers with opportunities to connect directly with potential customers and business partners.

The Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026 is being held at Bharat Mandapam from August 12 to August 15.

ORMAS’s first participation marks another step towards promoting Odisha’s rural entrepreneurship and traditional craftsmanship beyond the state.
By bringing products from all 30 districts to a national business platform, the initiative seeks to strengthen market connections and create new opportunities for artisans, weavers, producer groups, community-based organisations and rural entrepreneurs.
