Bhubaneswar: The State government has decided to resume physical classes of students from Standard I to V from 3rd January onwards, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Tuesday.
About 27,000 schools across the state will reopen from 3rd January and those schools where the Summative-I exam for Standard X students are scheduled to will be held from 5th to 8th of January, will be reopened from 10th January, the Minister told local media here.
As per the state government’s decision, physical classes in the schools will be held for three hours from 9 am to 12 noon without lunch breaks, Dash said adding that the dry-ration supply program under Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme, will continue as before.
“COVID-19 precautionary measure will be strictly implemented and monitored in the schools and the earlier Standard Operating Procedure issued for Standard VI to XII will be implemented, the Minister further informed.
