Rishabh Pant land request: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has responded to India cricketer Rishabh Pant’s appeal for help in acquiring land in the state, assuring the wicketkeeper-batter that officials will look into the matter.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has responded to Rishabh Pant after the India wicketkeeper-batter publicly sought help with his plans to acquire land in Uttarakhand.

Pant had approached Dhami through a late-night post on X, saying he wanted to shift his base from Delhi to his native Uttarakhand. He also expressed his desire to contribute to the state and reconnect with people in the region.

Pushkar Singh Dhami assures Rishabh Pant of help

Responding to Pant, Dhami praised the cricketer for making Uttarakhand proud through his achievements in cricket.

Dhami said Pant’s desire to return to his motherland and contribute to the state was commendable. He also assured the cricketer that the matter would be taken up with the concerned officials.

“Dear Rishabh, you are the pride of Uttarakhand,” Dhami said in his response on X.

The chief minister added that instructions had been issued to the relevant officials and that they would contact Pant regarding his request.

What did Rishabh Pant ask for?

Pant had said he had been trying to acquire land in Uttarakhand for around three years but had faced difficulties.

The cricketer said he wanted to move his base from Delhi to Uttarakhand and find a suitable place to live. He also expressed his intention to contribute to the state’s development and support the local community.

Pant’s appeal quickly gained attention on social media, particularly because he directly tagged the Uttarakhand chief minister in his post.

Pant wants to return to Uttarakhand

Pant has frequently spoken about his connection with Uttarakhand and his roots in the state.

His latest request suggests that the cricketer is keen to eventually make Uttarakhand his home base. Dhami’s response now provides an update on the matter, with officials expected to contact Pant and examine his request according to applicable rules.

Rishabh Pant’s cricket career

Pant remains one of India’s prominent wicketkeeper-batters and continues to be an important name in the Indian Premier League.

In June, Delhi Capitals brought him back from Lucknow Super Giants through a pre-auction trade ahead of IPL 2027. Delhi Capitals acquired Pant for ₹15 crore, while Lucknow Super Giants received spinner Kuldeep Yadav and ₹13.5 crore in the deal.

While Pant’s cricket career continues, his latest interaction with Dhami highlights his interest in returning to Uttarakhand and building a stronger connection with his home state.
