In a graceful gesture blending deep respect for achievement with Odisha’s timeless spiritual heritage, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has invited all Padma Awardees from the state to participate in the upcoming Puri Rath Yatra 2026.
The heartfelt invitation, issued directly by the Chief Minister, celebrates the remarkable contributions of Odisha’s distinguished sons and daughters who have brought national and international acclaim to the state through their excellence in art, literature, education, science, and other fields.
“By the grace of Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath, I hope you are in good health and well-being,” begins the CM’s warm message. He expressed the state’s immense pride in the awardees’ “invaluable contributions to the nation and society” and highlighted how their dedication, commitment, and exemplary service earned them the prestigious Padma Awards.
“This year, I cordially invite you with honour to join the Rath Yatra,” CM Majhi writes. “The presence of personalities like you will be a matter of joy and pride for all of us.” He urged the awardees to come together on this sacred occasion to offer prayers to Mahaprabhu for the prosperity of Odisha and the welfare of its people, and to receive divine blessings.
The Puri Rath Yatra 2026 is scheduled to commence on 16 July 2026, promising yet another spectacular display of faith, tradition, and devotion that draws millions to the sacred land of Lord Jagannath.
This thoughtful initiative by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi once again highlights his government’s commitment to honouring excellence while preserving and celebrating Odisha’s rich cultural and spiritual legacy.
