BJP MLA Jaynarayan Mishra reacted strongly to reports of missing files from the Chief Minister’s Office, demanding immediate recovery and investigation.
He said the files must be traced to reveal the truth behind sensitive cases, including the murder of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati.
Mishra insisted that registers would contain details of who accessed the files and urged investigators to include those names in the probe. He emphasised that without the missing reports, the direction of the Laxmanananda Saraswati murder case would remain unclear.
The senior leader also called for re-investigation of other high-profile cases in Odisha, including the killings of Minister Naba Das and teacher Mamita Meher. He demanded that the Mahanga double murder case be reopened to ensure justice.
Mishra’s remarks highlight growing political pressure over the missing CMO files, which have triggered controversy across the state. He said the disappearance of crucial documents raises serious questions about transparency and accountability in governance.
