Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke marked Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s birthday on Friday with an unusual protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where he renewed his demand for the minister’s resignation over the alleged NEET paper leak controversy.

The protest entered its seventh consecutive day, with Dipke and his supporters continuing their sit-in demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations.

Birthday Wish Carries a Political Message

In a video shared on social media, Dipke is seen writing “Happy Birthday, Pradhan. Please resign” on a whiteboard while supporters sang the birthday song in the background.

After writing the message, he said:

“A very happy birthday to you, Dharmendra Pradhan. Do us a favour and resign. As a birthday gift, we can even send you the resignation letter—you’ll only have to put your thumb on it.”

The video quickly gained attention online as the protest continued to gather public interest.

Seventh Day of Protest at Jantar Mantar

Dipke has been leading demonstrations at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of the Education Minister over the alleged NEET paper leak and examination irregularities.

He has maintained that the protest will continue until the government addresses the concerns raised by students and takes responsibility for the controversy.

Earlier this week, Dipke also appeared before a committee of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) regarding the withholding of the Cockroach Janta Party’s X account.

During his appearance, he questioned why authorities maintained confidentiality over the social media action but failed to prevent the alleged NEET paper leak.

Criticism of Government

Addressing protesters, Dipke criticised both the Union Education Ministry and the central government.

He questioned why alleged examination paper leaks could not be prevented and accused the government of failing students.

Dipke also alleged that protesters demanding accountability were being unfairly labelled, saying they were seeking justice rather than political gains.

Sonam Wangchuk Announces Hunger Strike

Meanwhile, climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has extended support to the protest movement.

He announced that he would begin an indefinite hunger strike from June 28 if the Centre does not respond to concerns related to the alleged NEET paper leak by June 27.

Speaking from Geneva, Wangchuk urged the government to engage with the protesters and address their demands regarding transparency and accountability in the education system.

He has supported Dipke and the Cockroach Janta Party since the protests began and has previously joined demonstrations at Jantar Mantar.

Protests Continue

With the protest entering its seventh day and support from prominent activists growing, attention remains focused on whether the government will respond to the demands for action over the alleged examination irregularities.
