Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Ramdas Athawale, met Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the Centre and the State to expand social welfare programs and strengthen social security measures.
Athawale discussed various aspects of social justice and empowerment in Odisha. Majhi assured full coordination between both governments to ensure that welfare schemes reach every beneficiary. He emphasised that Odisha continues to take significant steps toward inclusive development and social protection.
The Chief Minister highlighted key initiatives, including the expansion of the Madhubabu Pension Yojana to include six lakh more beneficiaries and the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana, which provides an additional five kilograms of rice to eligible families. He said these programs reflect the State’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable citizens.
Both leaders agreed to strengthen collaboration for the effective implementation of social welfare schemes.
