Two days after the IPL 2026 final, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally revealed what Virat Kohli told teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during their emotional interaction at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The moment had already gone viral on social media. However, fans could only see the conversation and not hear it. Now, RCB has released the audio, giving cricket followers a glimpse into Kohli’s inspiring advice for the 15-year-old star.

Virat Kohli’s Special Advice to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

In the 43-second clip, Kohli reminded Sooryavanshi that his remarkable success was built on hard work, discipline and self-belief.

“Yaha se upar jana hai. Jo huya hai woh achi mehnat aur belief ke wajah se huya. Kaun kya bol raha hai, kaise bol raha hai… Ek Bihari sab pe bhaari. Khatam game.”

Translated into English, Kohli’s message meant:

“From here, you only go higher. Everything that has happened is because of your hard work and belief. It doesn’t matter what people say or how they say it. A Bihari beats them all. End of story.”

The young Rajasthan Royals batter listened carefully as one of cricket’s greatest players shared words of encouragement.

RCB Shares Emotional Tribute

RCB also posted a heartfelt message alongside the video.

“The man who made Indian cricket fearless. The boy who bats fearless. The best piece of advice the 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi could get. And who better than Virat Kohli to help fuel his fire in the right direction. Onwards and upwards, Vaibhav!”

The clip quickly gained traction online, with fans praising Kohli for mentoring the next generation of Indian cricket stars.

Kohli and Sooryavanshi’s Bond During IPL 2026

This was not the first memorable interaction between Kohli and Sooryavanshi this season.

Earlier in IPL 2026, after a match between RCB and Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati, Kohli met the young batter and signed his Orange Cap. The gesture became a talking point throughout the tournament.

Every time Sooryavanshi reclaimed the Orange Cap, cameras caught him proudly wearing the cap signed by Kohli, highlighting the admiration he has for the Indian legend.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s Record-Breaking IPL 2026 Season

Although Rajasthan Royals did not reach the final, Sooryavanshi emerged as the biggest individual story of the tournament.

The 15-year-old finished IPL 2026 with an astonishing 776 runs, winning the Orange Cap as the season’s highest run-scorer.

His achievements included:

  • Orange Cap – 776 runs
  • Most Valuable Player Award
  • Emerging Player Award
  • Super Striker Award
  • Most Sixes Award

Sooryavanshi smashed 72 sixes during the season, setting a new IPL record for the most sixes in a single edition. He also maintained a breathtaking strike rate of 237.3.

A Star of the Future

At just 15 years old, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has already become one of the brightest talents in world cricket.

With support and guidance from icons like Virat Kohli, many believe the youngster is only beginning his journey.

As Kohli told him after the IPL 2026 final, the path ahead leads only upward.
