A tractor overturned during a test drive in the Rayagada district today, killing the driver instantly.
The accident occurred near Munisingh Chhak under the Chandili Police Station limits.
Police said the driver, reportedly from Bihar, lost control of the tractor while test-driving a Sonalika vehicle taken from a showroom in J.K. Pur. The tractor overturned near Munisingh, trapping the driver underneath. Local residents immediately informed Chandili police, who rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
The deceased’s identity has not yet been confirmed. Police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem to the district headquarters hospital. Investigating officer Uttam Sahu stated that once the victim’s identity is established, his family will be informed.
