The National Investigation Agency filed a 7,500-page chargesheet in New Delhi against 10 accused in the deadly Red Fort car blast of November 10, 2025.

The explosion killed 11 people, injured several others, and caused extensive property damage.

Investigators identified the accused as members of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), an offshoot of Al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). The chargesheet named Umer Un Nabi, Aamir Rashid Mir, Jasir Bilal Wani, Dr Muzamil Shakeel, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather, Dr Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay, Soyab, Dr Bilal Naseer Malla, and Yasir Ahmad Dar. Nabi, the main perpetrator, died in the blast, and charges against him will be abated.

NIA revealed that the accused reconstituted AGuH as “AGuH Interim” in Srinagar in 2022 after failing to travel to Afghanistan. They launched “Operation Heavenly Hind”, aimed at overthrowing the Indian government and imposing Sharia rule. Investigators found evidence of recruitment, arms procurement, and large-scale manufacturing of explosives, including Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP).

The probe uncovered radicalised medical professionals among the accused. Evidence included 588 oral testimonies, 395 documents, and over 200 seized exhibits. Forensic analysis confirmed the identity of Nabi through DNA fingerprinting. Investigators also discovered experiments with rocket and drone-mounted IEDs, illegal arms procurement, and plans to expand operations nationwide.
