The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a fog warning for the next two days across Odisha, even as the state continues to experience predominantly dry weather with rising daytime temperatures.

A low-pressure area persists over Sri Lanka, but it has no impact on Odisha. The state is seeing clear skies in most areas, with patchy fog reported in some places. Over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature across Odisha dropped by 1°C, yet Paralakhemundi recorded the highest at 35°C, making it the hottest town in the state. As many as 35 locations registered daytime temperatures above 30°C, according to Regional Meteorological Centre Director Manorama Mohanty.

Fog has appeared in parts of the state due to the combined effect of the low-pressure system and a western disturbance. Dense fog was observed in Chandbali, while light fog shrouded Paradip, Kendrapara, and Bhubaneswar. Very light fog was reported in Dhenkanal.

The Met Centre has forecast fog to continue for the next two days. A **yellow warning** for fog has been issued for Tuesday morning in the districts of Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Puri, Khordha, Dhenkanal, and Cuttack.

Temperatures have been unusually high for mid-February, frequently crossing 35°C and even touching 36°C in some areas. From February 18, night temperatures are likely to rise by another 3°C, Director Manorama Mohanty added.
