A tragic accident occurred when a car collided head-on with a truck near Nandi village in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh. The victims belonged to Patissonpur village under Chikiti block in Ganjam district.
Two members of the same family died in the crash, while five others sustained serious injuries. The injured were rushed to a local medical facility for treatment. The family was reportedly travelling for medical purposes when the accident took place.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives. He announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the families of the deceased. He also directed officials to extend necessary assistance to the injured and their relatives.
