Aspirants for the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission’s (OSSC) Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination (CGLRE-2025) appealed to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and Chief Secretary Anu Garg to extend the online application deadline.

They argued that persistent technical glitches on the OSSC portal disrupted registration and form submission.

Candidates reported repeated delays in the portal opening. Furthermore, they faced login failures, errors during document uploads, and interruptions while submitting completed forms. Several applicants complained that although ₹500 was deducted from their bank accounts, their applications did not go through. As a result, they suffered financial hardship and mental distress, especially those attempting multiple submissions close to the deadline.

On Tuesday, aspirants submitted a representation to the state government. In it, they urged officials to resolve the technical problems immediately and grant a reasonable extension. Moreover, they stressed that genuine applicants should not lose opportunities due to system-related failures.

According to the official notification, online registration began on December 19, 2025, and will close on January 18, 2026. Additionally, the last date for submission of completed forms is January 21, while editing of applications will remain open until January 24. The OSSC website is the only platform accepting applications.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,576 vacancies, including 504 posts reserved for women. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and demonstrate basic computer proficiency.

The age limit is 21 to 42 years as of January 1, 2025. However, relaxations apply for reserved categories, women, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen.
