The evaluation system for +2 Arts answer scripts may undergo a major change this year, with plans to shift the process online.
School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond announced that preparations are underway to introduce online evaluation for Arts papers, replacing the existing dual evaluation structure.
The Minister said the department has submitted proposals and is awaiting budget approval. Once finalised, funds will be allocated for the necessary arrangements. Gond emphasised that online evaluation will ensure the timely completion of answer script checking and improve transparency.
He added that AI cameras will be deployed during examinations to prevent question paper leaks. In the last Higher Secondary Examination, AI cameras were used successfully, and no paper leak incidents were reported. Gond asserted that the use of AI technology will strengthen the integrity of the examination process.
According to the Minister, the move to online evaluation aims to modernise the system, reduce manual errors, and bring efficiency. The department is planning to implement the new framework once financial clearance is received.
