Sinapali police rescued 10 bonded labourers, including a minor, and seized a four-wheeler used for trafficking.
The accused Sardar Mirayala Ramulu (60), a resident of Durga Nagar under Malkajgiri police station in Ranga Reddy district, Telangana, was arrested and produced in court.
According to police sources, information was received that bonded labourers were being trafficked through Godal Chhak Four-Way Road, Hatibandha, in a vehicle bearing registration number OD-26 G 6332. Acting swiftly, a team led by IIC Durgamadhab Bag conducted a raid and intercepted the vehicle.
The rescued workers were freed, the vehicle was seized, and the accused was taken into custody. A case has been registered at Sinapali police station (Case No. 6/26), and the accused has been forwarded to court.
At a press briefing, Khariar SDPO Upendra Pradhan confirmed the details of the operation and emphasised the police’s commitment to curbing bonded labour trafficking in the region.
The raid involved officers and staff from the Sinapali police station, who played a crucial role in the successful rescue operation.
