Police in Cuttack district have arrested Prashant Nayak, a school teacher, for his alleged involvement in the 2023 murder of a local gang leader in the Tigiria police station area.
Nayak, who had been absconding for a long time, was finally caught while teaching at Gokarnakhali Primary School. Officers entered the school premises and took him into custody in front of staff and students.
According to police sources, Nayak is the prime accused in the killing of the Kattara gang chief. His role in the crime is now under detailed investigation.
