Cuttack: The cyber fraudsters are coming up with new ideas to dupe people in Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Due to the ongoing restrictions induced by the coronavirus pandemic, people opted to shop online. Taking advantage of this, the scammers reportedly set the trap and targeted the e-shoppers and duped them on the pretext of various sales. In order to gain trust, the fraudsters also used names of showrooms located in Twin City.
Similarly, many Internet users, who either wanted to sell or purchase products through social media sites such as OLX, have also lost their money to online fraud.
Many people also fell prey to online fraud on the pretext of getting a job or loan.
However, even after several awareness campaigns to educate people about cyber fraud, people still get trapped in the clutches of cyber fraud.
