Microsoft Corporation has announced strategic partnerships with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, and Wipro to accelerate the rollout of Agentic AI solutions across India.

The collaboration, revealed by CEO Satya Nadella on Thursday, marks one of the most significant enterprise AI pushes in the country to date.

Under this initiative, the IT giants—along with Cognizant Technology Solutions, which employs a substantial workforce in India—will deploy over 50,000 Microsoft Copilot licences. Microsoft described this as a “new benchmark for enterprise-scale AI adoption”, signaling rapid transformation across India’s technology and services ecosystem.

Agentic AI Poised for Large-Scale Adoption

Highlighting the surge in AI-driven transformation, Nadella said there is “great momentum in India” with Agentic AI applications being deployed across sectors.

He also reiterated Microsoft’s strong commitment to expanding its footprint in the country, expressing excitement about the company’s planned $17.5-billion investment in India.
