The hosts posted a massive total of 358/5 in 50 overs, setting a daunting target of 359 runs for the Proteas.
Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad stole the show with brilliant centuries. Kohli scored 102 off 93 balls, marking his 53rd ODI hundred, while Gaikwad registered his maiden ODI century, smashing 105 off 83 deliveries. Their partnership provided India with a strong foundation and kept the scoreboard ticking at a brisk pace.
KL Rahul added further momentum with an unbeaten 66 off 43 balls, while Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with 24 off 27 deliveries. Together, Rahul and Jadeja stitched a crucial 69-run stand for the sixth wicket, ensuring India finished with a commanding total.
India currently leads the three-match series 1–0, and the batting display in Raipur has put them in a strong position to seal the series. The Proteas now face the challenge of chasing a mammoth target against a confident Indian bowling attack.
