The Crime Branch arrested Sagar Kumar Gouda, 22, in a major breakthrough in the CPSE-2024 examination malpractice case.
Gouda, son of Krushna Chandra Gouda from Balipada in Ganjam district, currently resides at MKCG Medical Campus in Berhampur. Investigators identified him as the principal associate and close aide of the key accused, Sankar Prusty.
Investigations revealed that Gouda supervised the Balasore Module and coordinated logistical arrangements under Prusty’s instructions. He ensured the execution of the plan on the ground and played a pivotal role in managing operations. Officials confirmed that Gouda visited Digha on September 29, where hotel accommodations had been booked by Aravinda Das for candidates. As part of the criminal plan, Gouda oversaw secret operations in direct connivance with Prusty.
Further inquiries established that Gouda worked closely with Prusty, facilitating several aspects of the illegal activities linked to the examination malpractice. His involvement strengthened the conspiracy and expanded its reach across multiple locations.
The Crime Branch continues to intensify its investigation into the organised network. Authorities confirmed that the case has already led to 126 arrests, highlighting the scale of the malpractice. Officials remain focused on dismantling the entire operation and identifying all associates involved in the conspiracy.
The arrest of Gouda marks a significant step in exposing the depth of the CPSE-2024 malpractice. The Crime Branch aims to ensure accountability and restore integrity to the examination process.
