Messi and the Argentina national football team were expected to arrive in Kerala on November 14 for the game. However, organizers confirmed that delays in obtaining official FIFA clearance prompted the rescheduling.
Anto Augustine, Managing Director of Reporter Broadcasting Company—the official sponsor of the friendly—shared the update on Facebook. He explained that the decision was made following consultations with the Argentine Football Association (AFA).
Fans eagerly awaiting the chance to see Messi in action in India will need to wait until FIFA approves the next suitable match window. The organizers assured that ticket holders will be informed about updated match schedules and arrangements in due course.
