Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela today via videoconferencing and celebrated the appointment of over 51,000 young job seekers across India.
He opened his speech by acknowledging the festive spirit of Diwali and highlighted how employment has doubled the joy for thousands of families.
He emphasized that these appointments represent more than just government jobs—they offer meaningful opportunities to contribute directly to nation-building. “When youth succeed, the nation succeeds,” PM Modi declared, reinforcing the belief that empowered youth drive India’s progress.
The government has already issued over 11 lakh appointment letters through Rozgar Melas, demonstrating its strong commitment to employment generation. To further harness youth potential, PM Modi launched the Pratibha Setu Portal, which connects UPSC finalists—who narrowly missed selection—with opportunities in both public and private sectors. This initiative ensures that India utilizes its talent effectively for development.
PM Modi highlighted India’s demographic strength and described the country as the world’s youngest nation. He explained how youth continue to shape progress across sectors, including foreign policy. He cited recent diplomatic engagements, such as the Free Trade Agreement with the UK and investment partnerships with Brazil, Singapore, Korea, and Canada. These agreements aim to generate thousands of jobs in AI, fintech, clean energy, and MSMEs.
He encouraged new appointees to embrace the spirit of ‘Nagarik Devo Bhava’ and serve the nation with integrity and dedication. He invited them to join the i-Got Karmayogi Bharat Platform, where over 1.5 crore government employees actively pursue continuous learning and skill development.
