Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police have collected fine to the tune of Rs 2 lakhs from scores of people on the charges of violating COVID-19 norms.
Despite the declaration of the Lockdown and Weekend Shutdown by the Government and massive awareness as well as enforcement drives by the police, people continue to throw the safety protocols, including social distancing, wearing masks, and no congregation to the wind.
Reportedly, police collected Rs 2.11 lakhs for violating the norms. This drive will continue, officials said.
Besides, the cops also sealed two shops situated at Laxmisagar and Chandrashekharpur area for allegedly violating lockdown norms.
