Jajpur: A man was brutally killed over suspicion of practicing sorcery at Tikarpada village under Kaliapani police limits in Jajpur district.
The deceased was identified as Maguni Juang.
As per reports, the accused Mukhia Juang’s son was unwell and died two years ago, following which Mukhia suspected that his son died because of the black magic practiced by Maguni’s wife Gurubari Juang.
Irked over the matter, Mukhia attacked the couple, killing Maguni on the spot while his wife sustained critical injuries.
On being informed, police reached the spot and arrested the accused. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
