The much-anticipated teaser of Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, has been released, offering audiences a glimpse into a poignant love story set against the evocative backdrop of Benaras. Directed by Aanand L Rai and backed by A R Rahman’s haunting score, the film explores the complexities of love, loss, and surrender.
The teaser introduces viewers to Shankar (Dhanush) and Mukti (Kriti Sanon), whose love is marked by fate and separation. In one striking moment, Shankar arrives straight from his father’s funeral to Mukti’s wedding. Overcome with anger and despair, he pours Ganga jal on her during her Mehendi ceremony, symbolically attempting to wash away her sins. In an emotional outburst, he nearly curses her to bear a son, reminding her that even those who die in love are someone’s child.
The narrative unfolds through visually poetic frames, capturing Benaras in its raw spirituality. While Kriti’s character battles heartbreak and addiction, Dhanush is seen locked in confrontations with unknown assailants, amplifying the story’s intensity.
A R Rahman’s music, his third Hindi collaboration with Dhanush and Aanand L Rai, forms the emotional backbone of the teaser. With lyrics by Irshad Kamil and vocals by Arijit Singh, the soundtrack promises to heighten the film’s deeply human and emotional appeal.
Speaking about the film, director Aanand L Rai said, “Ishk is only about surrender—letting it heal you, hurt you, and change you.” Producer Bhushan Kumar added, “Tere Ishk Mein will bring forth a love story that’s raw, intense, and emotionally charged. Dhanush and Kriti’s pairing brings a unique energy to the screen, and Rahman’s music elevates every moment.”
Produced under the banners of T-Series and Colour Yellow, along with Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Aanand L Rai, and Himanshu Sharma, Tere Ishk Mein will release worldwide on 28 November 2025 in both Hindi and Tamil.
