Odisha Governor Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati paid a courtesy visit to Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik at his residence, Naveen Niwas, earlier today.
The Governor personally inquired about Patnaik’s health following his recent discharge from a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, where he was admitted due to dehydration-related complications.
The visit comes amid a wave of concern and goodwill from across party lines. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had also visited Patnaik shortly after his return home, expressing solidarity and wishing him a speedy recovery. Majhi’s gesture was widely appreciated, especially as it followed his swearing-in after the recent election results.
Adding to the familial and political significance, Naveen Patnaik’s elder brother Prem Patnaik was also seen at Naveen Nivas last Friday. Their meeting, after a long gap, has sparked speculation in political circles about Prem’s sudden visit to Odisha.
Leaders and supporters from various backgrounds continue to visit Patnaik, underscoring his enduring influence and the respect he commands across the spectrum. The Governor’s visit today further highlights the spirit of political civility and concern for the veteran leader’s well-being.
