Indian Railways has announced its largest-ever operation of **380 Ganapati Special train trips** for 2025, aimed at facilitating smooth and comfortable travel for devotees and passengers during the festive season.
In comparison, **305 Ganapati Special trips** were operated in 2023, and the number rose to **358** in 2024.
Central Railway will conduct the highest number of services at **296**, addressing the increased travel demand in Maharashtra and the Konkan region. Western Railway will run **56 Ganpati Special trips**, while Konkan Railway will have **6 trips**, and South Western Railway will operate **22 trips**.
The planned halts for the Ganpati Special trains on the Konkan Railway include the following stations: Kolad, Indapur, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Sape Warmne, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwankhavati, Kalambani Budruk, Khed, Anjani, Chiplun, Kamathe, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Jn, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Mookambika Road, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki, and Surathkal.
Ganpati Puja will be celebrated from **August 27 to September 6, 2025**. To accommodate the expected surge in travellers, the Ganpati Special trains have been operational since **August 11, 2025**, with services being increased as the festival date draws near.
