Rourkela: Two minor girls from Jharkhand have been gang-raped in Odisha’s Rourkela on Saturday evening.
As per reports, the incident took place when the two girls aged 14 and 15, were returning to a close relative’s house in a slum in the industrial city after buying footwear from a local market. Police have detained three persons in this connection, while four others are still absconding.
The accused persons intercepted the two near Bisra Chhak and forcefully took them in an auto-rickshaw to a desolate place, where they raped the girls.
The incident was revealed when a survivor contacted their relatives, who then filed a police complaint late Saturday evening.
