Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited Puri on Thursday, where he offered prayers at the revered Shree Jagannath Temple.
Accompanied by his wife, the Chief Minister sought the blessings of Lord Jagannath and prayed for the prosperity of the state. Upon arriving at the temple’s Singhadwar (Lion’s Gate), CM Majhi was warmly welcomed by officials from the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and the Puri district administration.
Puri Collector Dibyajyoti Parida, SP Pinak Mishra, and Pipili MLA Ashrit Pattnayak were among those present to receive the Chief Minister. Despite reaching Puri by 4 PM, his schedule was slightly delayed, and he first visited the Circuit House, where the Collector greeted him with a bouquet of flowers.
After offering prayers, the temple administration presented the Chief Minister with a sacred ‘Lagi Khandua,’ a traditional offering symbolising divine blessings. The visit underscores the deep spiritual connection of Odisha’s leadership with the state’s cultural and religious heritage.
