Bhubaneswar: A Low pressure area is likely to form over East central & adjoining North Bay of Bengal on 29th August and due to the formation of the system, Odisha state is very likely to experience an active wet spell from 28th to 31st August, the IMD said on Tuesday.
According to the IMD forecast, a fresh low pressure area is likely to form over Eastcentral & adjoining North Bay of Bengal on 29th August 2024. It is likely to move west-northwestwards close to south Odisha & north Andhra Pradesh coasts during the subsequent 2 days.
Squally weather with surface wind speed reaching 35-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph is very likely to prevail over the West Central Bay of Bengal adjoining North west Bay of Bengal and along & off Odisha coasts during the 30th and 31st Aug 2024.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off Odisha coasts, West central adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal during the 30th and 31st of August 2024.
