BIGHIT Music has shut down viral claims that BTS recorded a track for a posthumous Michael Jackson tribute album.
On August 3, Michael Jackson fan site MJ Vibe quoted Grouse Lodge Studio owner Paddy Dunning saying BTS had visited the Ireland-based studio to record an unreleased Jackson track from 2006. The story quickly spread online, sparking mixed reactions among fans.
BIGHIT issued a statement on Tuesday clarifying:
“BTS has neither visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland nor taken part in any recording sessions for the mentioned project. The group is not involved in the tribute album in any capacity.”
The company thanked fans for their continued support and said it was working to stop the spread of misinformation.
While the tribute project itself remains shrouded in mystery, BIGHIT confirmed that BTS has no connection to it.
