A historic music collaboration is reportedly in the works as BTS has recorded an unreleased Michael Jackson track for an upcoming tribute album. The project is being produced at Grouse Lodge Studios in Ireland, where Jackson worked on new material in 2006 for what was intended to be the next Thriller.
Studio owner Paddy Dunning revealed that BTS completed their recording last year, with about ten more unreleased songs in the pipeline. These were created in collaboration with Jackson’s longtime associates, including producer Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew.
Michael Jackson’s Ireland sessions remained unfinished following his death in 2009. Dunning is now enlisting global artists to breathe life into the tracks.
Fans have celebrated BTS’s selection for the project, noting the group’s previous tributes to the King of Pop, including their Dynamite homage and moonwalk mic drop performances. Many believe Jackson “would be proud” of the K-pop superstars.
BTS is also working on their first full-length album in four years, expected to release in March 2026.
