The Odisha government has appointed the Housing and Urban Development Minister, Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, as the Chairman for all Development Authorities in the state.
Consequently, he will serve as the Chairman of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), Berhampur Development Authority, Sambalpur Development Authority, Rourkela Development Authority (RDA), Paradip Development Authority, Puri-Konark Development Authority, Kalinga Nagar Development Authority, and Talcher-Angul-Meramandali Development Authority.
The H&UD Department issued a formal notification to this effect on July 4.

Also, the state govt replaced new officers in place of Sarada P Panda and Sangramjit Nayak, who were continuing in the H&UD Dept even after their retirement.
Following the retirement of Sarada Prasad Panda, OAS, Additional Secretary, Rabindra Kumar Sahoo, OAS, Additional Secretary to the Government’s H&UD Department, will now oversee the role of Project Director, SUDA, and manage the sections previously handled by Sarada Prasad Panda, in addition to his existing responsibilities, effective immediately until further notice.
Similarly, Debasis Singh, OAS, Special Secretary to the Government, will assume the responsibilities of Director, Municipal Administration, and oversee the sections previously managed by Sangarmjit Nayak, former IAS, OSD-cum-Special Secretary, alongside his current duties, effective immediately until further notice.
