Bhubaneswar:Â Public Health Director, Niranjan Mishra, has directed the district authorities to keep the COVID hospitals ready in view of a spike in coronavirus cases in the state.
Mishra’s direction has come during the review of the situation in the state on Friday. He said the coronavirus infection cases have touched 500 per day and stressed on testing, tracing, and surveillance.
Mishra said there is no reason to be scared at all and assured the people that the authorities have been asked to rope in the services of more doctors and health staff to tackle the dreaded disease. He said there is no dearth of beds at hospitals. The people will be enlightened on the issue and enforcement will be done strictly.
Director, Health, Bijay Mohapatra said the mortality rate has not increased and added that more beds have been arranged in SCB, Burla, and MKCG to tackle the situation.
