Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today participated in the grand Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the Ram Charit Manas Temple at Patana village in Puri district.

The religious event was presided over by revered spiritual leader Padma Vibhushan Jagatguru Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj, who performed the sacred land-worship rituals marking the commencement of temple construction.

Organized by the Raghava Parivar Trust, the event witnessed the convergence of religious devotion and cultural affirmation. CM Majhi, addressing the gathering, declared the state’s unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting Odisha’s cultural and traditional ethos.

“It is a privilege to witness the establishment of this divine Ram Charit Manas Temple in Patana. The presence of Jagatguru Rambhadracharya Ji is a blessing for us all. This temple will stand as a symbol of Hindu heritage and spiritual continuity,” the Chief Minister stated.

Majhi also emphasized the state’s long-term development blueprint, referencing the “36 for 36” Vision Document aimed at transforming Odisha by 2036. He reiterated the government’s alignment with the Prime Minister’s mission to empower India’s four foundational pillars — farmers, women, youth, and the poor.

As a gesture of ecological harmony, the CM planted a neem tree at the site and laid the temple’s foundation stone amidst Vedic chants and sacred fire rituals.

Also present were Puri MP Sambit Patra, Pipili MLA Ashrit Pattnaik, Satyabadi MLA Om Prakash Mishra, and Brahmagiri MLA Upasana Mahapatra, among others, reinforcing the unity of state leadership in nurturing religious and cultural milestones.
