The Ministry of Cooperation will host the Manthan Baithak 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on June 30.
Chaired by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, the conference will bring together Cooperation Ministers and senior officials from all States and Union Territories.
The high-level meeting will serve as a review and strategy session to advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ (Prosperity through Cooperation). Key agendas include the establishment of 2 lakh new Multi-purpose PACS, dairy and fisheries cooperatives, and deliberations on the World’s Largest Grain Storage Scheme in the cooperative sector.
The Baithak will also spotlight progress under the “Cooperation Among Cooperatives” campaign and the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, while reinforcing the operational roles of the newly formed National Multi-state Cooperative Societies — NCEL, NCOL, and BBSSL.
In a bid to enhance food security and rural empowerment, participants will evaluate digital initiatives like PACS computerisation, Registrar Cooperative Society (RCS) Office digitisation, and the integration of the National Cooperative Database for better policy formulation.
Other key themes include:
- White Revolution 2.0 and circularity in the dairy sector
- Minimum procurement price assurance for pulses and maize under Atmanirbharta Abhiyan
- Capacity building in light of the establishment of Tribhuvan Sahkari University
- Operationalising financial entities like the Shared Services Entity for State and District Cooperative Banks and the Umbrella Organisation for Urban Cooperative Banks
By fostering cooperative federalism, the Manthan Baithak is expected to drive a unified, action-oriented approach to transform cooperatives into powerful engines of rural growth and economic inclusion.
