The Higher Education Department of the Odisha Government has temporarily suspended all admission activities for the 2-year B.Ed. (Arts/Science), B.H.Ed. and M.Ed. programs for the academic year 2025–26.
The decision comes after several grievances were received regarding discrepancies in entrance test scores under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS). In response, the State Selection Board (SSB) has been directed to constitute subject-wise expert committees to reverify the answer keys used in the evaluations.
Officials emphasised that the move aims to uphold transparency and fairness in the admission process. Until the re-verification is completed, all associated admission activities remain on hold.
A revised schedule for admissions will be announced on the official SAMS portal () and through major newspapers. Both students and institutions have been urged to follow updates strictly via official channels to avoid misinformation.
The directive, issued by order of the Governor, reinforces the government’s commitment to maintaining academic integrity during the admissions process.
