Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has successfully undergone surgery for cervical arthritis at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
The surgical procedure was led by renowned cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Ramakanta Panda, who is also Patnaik’s personal physician.
According to medical sources, Patnaik will remain under observation for two days following the operation. The hospital confirmed that the procedure was carried out smoothly and the patient is stable.
In a statement prior to the surgery, Mr. Patnaik posted on his official X handle, “As advised by doctors, I will be travelling to Mumbai on the 22nd for arthritis treatment. My personal doctor, Dr. Ramakanta Panda, will evaluate me there. Seeking Lord Jagannath’s blessings and best wishes from my Odia brothers and sisters. Hoping to return soon to continue serving everyone.”
