As the BJP-led government in Odisha celebrates its first anniversary, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited Janta Maidan in Bhubaneswar today to review the final preparations for a grand public meeting, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be the chief guest.

The Chief Minister inspected the entire venue and directed officials to ensure that there are no lapses during the Prime Minister’s visit. He emphasised the need for the timely completion of all arrangements by late evening today.

Majhi stressed the importance of smooth logistics and instructed officials to eliminate any last-minute issues. “Every department must stay alert and proactive,” he reportedly urged.

Accompanying the Chief Minister were key leaders, including State Law and Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, BJP State President Manmohan Samal, State In-Charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, and Co-In-Charge Lata Usendi. Senior bureaucrats, such as Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Hemant Sharma, briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of the preparations.

Also present were the Chief Minister’s advisor Prakash Mishra, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Satyabrata Sahu, DGP YB Khurania, and Principal Secretary (Works) Sanjay Kumar Singh, among others.

This visit comes ahead of the anticipated launch of the Subhadra Yojana, a women-centric welfare initiative that is set to be unveiled during the Prime Minister’s public address. With thousands expected to attend, Chief Minister Majhi has instructed authorities to ensure that every arrangement—whether it be crowd management, seating, or security—is executed flawlessly.

The event is anticipated to attract a significant number of women and citizens from across Odisha, making it one of the largest political gatherings in recent times. The administration is committed to ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for all attendees.
