As part of the ongoing redevelopment of Bhubaneswar Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, significant progress has been made to upgrade the station to world-class standards, enhancing passenger convenience and infrastructure.
Due to construction activities at the existing temporary shed, the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) and Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) counters, which previously operated from the temporary shed, have been temporarily relocated to the newly built station building.
This arrangement ensures that ticketing services remain uninterrupted while construction work continues at the shed site.
To facilitate better passenger movement, a new approach road from the Town Bus Stand/Temple side has been opened, providing improved connectivity and easier access to the station.
A key milestone in this redevelopment effort is the opening of direct access to Platform No. 1 through the newly constructed Ground Level Departure Concourse. This enhancement is expected to significantly reduce congestion and improve passenger flow.
The relocated PRS/UTS and Enquiry Counters in the new station building offer more space and enhance ease of movement for passengers.
