Putting an end to all uncertainty, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond on Tuesday confirmed that all schools across the state will reopen on June 20, as originally scheduled.
Addressing public concerns, the minister clarified that both government and private schools will resume classes from the announced date, with no delay despite monsoon-related worries.
“The government has decided that all schools will reopen on June 20. Necessary instructions and preparations have been made to ensure smooth reopening,” stated Minister Gond.
He further assured that all schools have been instructed to complete necessary arrangements, including classroom readiness and safety protocols, to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students.
The announcement ends widespread speculation about potential postponement and reinforces the government’s preparedness to safely resume academic activities statewide.
