The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against five individuals, including designated terrorist Goldy Brar, for their alleged role in the twin bomb blasts outside two popular nightclubs in Gurugram’s Sector 29 in December 2024.
The chargesheet names Canada-based Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, Sachin Taliyan, Ankit, Bhawish, and US-based Randeep Singh alias Randeep Malik. While Brar and Malik are still absconding, the others have been arrested.
According to the NIA, the accused were acting on behalf of the proscribed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror group. The explosions outside Warehouse Club and Human Club on December 10, 2024, were reportedly part of a larger conspiracy to foment communal tension and destabilize peace in Haryana and surrounding states.
Key Findings:
-
Explosive devices were used in the attack, and investigations revealed a plot to spread terror and disharmony under BKI’s directives.
-
The accused have been charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Arms Act, and Explosive Substances Act.
-
The terror module, directed by Goldy Brar, was also engaged in extortion, terror funding, and weapons procurement.
-
A suspect named Sachin, a resident of Meerut, was arrested near the site shortly after the blasts.
The NIA said the attacks were aimed at spreading fear and disrupting public peace, underlining the continued threat posed by transnational terror networks.
The case, initially registered by Haryana Police, was handed over to the NIA as part of a broader investigation into Khalistani-linked terror operations across India.
The probe is still ongoing, and further arrests or revelations are likely as the agency deepens its investigation into the BKI’s operations and international linkages.
