Bhubaneswar: Gopal Das, the accused in the Odisha Health Minister’s murder case, has been shifted to Choudwar jail in Cuttack from Jharsuguda jail amid tight security.
The prisons department had requested the court to shift Das on security grounds.
Earlier in the day, he was produced before the court, where his statement was recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.
Notably, Gopal Das underwent a series of narco analysis and polygraph tests in connection with the case.
The narco test, also known as the ‘Truth serum test’, was performed at the Directorate of Forensic Science Lab (DFSL) in Gandhinagar.
Naba Das was allegedly shot by Gopal Das near Gandhi Chhak at Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district on January 29. The assistant sub-inspector was arrested following his “confession” during initial interrogation.
