Odisha CM Majhi Unveils Rs 2.9 Lakh Crore Budget for 2025-26

Bhubaneswar: On Monday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presented the state’s budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, totaling ₹2.9 lakh crore. This marks Majhi’s first full budget since assuming office on June 12, 2024.

Key allocations include:

  • Agriculture Sector: ₹37,838 crore, with ₹2,020 crore designated for the CM KISAN Yojana.
  • Shree Anna Abhiyan: ₹600 crore to promote millet cultivation.
  • Mukhyamantri Kamdhenu Yojana: ₹164 crore.
  • Hirakud Dam Renovation: ₹850 crore.
  • Cold Storage Facilities: ₹252 crore allocated for financial assistance from FY 2025-26 to FY 2029-30.

Additionally, over ₹13,000 crore has been earmarked for Bhubaneswar under the City Road Decongestion Yojana, which includes the development of an outer ring road.

  • Public Debt: Rs 47400 Crore
  • Public account Net: Rs 10000 Crore
  • Total Capital Receipt (8+9+10): Rs 58000 Crore
  • Total Receipt (7+8): Rs 2,90,000.00 Crore

  • Samrudha Krushaka Yojana: Rs 6000 Cr.
  • CM KISAN: Rs 2020 Cr.

Fisheries & ARD:

  • Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY): Rs 245 Cr.
  • Mukhyamantri Maschyajibi Kalyan Yojana (MMKY): Rs 235 Cr.
  • Mukhyamantri Kamadhenu Yojana (MKY): Rs 146 Cr.
  • Prani Sampad Samruddhi Yojana: Rs 171 Cr.

Irrigation & Flood Control:

  • Water Sector Infrastructure Development Programme (WSIDP): Rs 1315 Cr.
  • Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP): Rs 1786 Cr.
  • Parbati Giri Mega Lift Projects: Rs 1318 Cr.
  • Construction of In-stream Storage Structure: Rs 880 Cr.

Health: Caring for All:

  • Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana: Rs 6249 Cr.
  • Mukhya Mantri Swasthya Seva Mission: Rs 3881 Cr.
  • National Health Mission: Rs 2091 Cr.
  • NIRMAL: Rs 997 Cr

Education: Enriching the life:

  • Godabarisha Mishra Adarsha Prathamika Vidyalaya: Rs 2960 Cr.
  • Mukhya Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (MM POSHAN): Rs 646 Cr.
  • Aitihya Vidyalaya: Rs 60 Cr.
  • PM POSHAN: Rs 885 Cr.
  • Samagra Sikshya: Rs 4681 Cr

Development of SCs, STs, OBCs & Minorities:

  • Madho Singh Haath Kharch: Rs 154 Cr.
  • Scholarship to students: Rs 450 Cr.
  • Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA): Rs 350 Cr.
  • Mukhyamantri Janajati Jeebika Mission: Rs 210 Cr.
  • Sahid Laxman Nayak transformation of schools: Rs 100 Cr

Women, Child Development & Mission Shakti:

  • MAMATA & PMMVY: Rs 492 Cr
  • Mukhyamantri Sampoorna Pushti Yojana (MSPY): Rs 526 Cr.
  • State support to ICDS: Rs 1,132 Cr.
  • Odisha Prusti Mission: Rs 100 Cr.

Social security:

  • Madhubabu Pension Yojana: Rs 5370 Cr.
  • National Old Age Pension to destitute: Rs 2181 Cr.
  • Indira Gandhi National Pension: Rs 1016 Cr.
  • Home for Aged: Rs 51 Cr.
  • Disha Award to Blocks for De-Addiction: Rs 14 Cr

Urban Development:

  • Mukhyamantri Sahari Vikas Yojana: Rs 1100 Cr.

Rural Development:

  • Development of Railway projects: Rs 2300 Cr.

  • Green Odisha EV Policy- Subsidy: Rs 160 Cr.
