Odisha Higher Secondary Results 2025: Record 82.77% Pass Rate Achieved

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, unveiled the much-anticipated Plus Two examination results for the academic year 2025 today.

The results, encompassing Science, Arts, Commerce, and Vocational streams, were announced by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond at 4:00 PM during a formal ceremony at the CHSE office in Bhubaneswar.


With an overall pass rate of 82.77%, this year’s results reflect a commendable performance by students across the state, with female students leading the charge.

Stellar Performance Across Streams

A total of 382,729 students, including both regular and ex-regular candidates, appeared for the Plus Two examinations. Of these, 316,787 students successfully passed, achieving an overall pass rate of 82.77%. Female students outperformed their male counterparts, securing an impressive pass rate of 87.24% compared to 77.88% for male students. This gender gap highlights the growing academic prowess of girls in Odisha’s higher secondary education system.

The stream-wise breakdown reveals Science as the top-performing stream with a pass rate of 87.49%, followed by Commerce at 83.2%, Arts at 80.51%, and Vocational Education at 60.57%. These figures underscore the diverse academic strengths of Odisha’s students, with Science maintaining its lead as the most successful stream.

District-wise Highlights

Districts across Odisha showcased varied performances. In the Arts stream, Bargarh district led with an outstanding pass rate of 87.60%, while Nabarangpur recorded the lowest at 68.13%. For Science, Nayagarh district topped the charts with a remarkable 97.58% pass rate, while Boudh lagged with 71.85%. In Commerce, Nayagarh again excelled with a 93.71% pass rate, while Balangir reported the lowest at 69.19%. In Vocational Education, Balasore district achieved the highest pass rate at 83.83%, with Malkangiri trailing as the lowest performer.

Breakdown of Results

Among the successful candidates, 101,914 students secured First Division, 67,815 earned Second Division, and 143,339 passed in the Third Division. Additionally, 3,719 students cleared the exams in the compartmental category. Stream-wise, the Arts stream saw 196,171 students passing, followed by 99,724 in Science, 20,892 in Commerce, and 3,375 in Vocational Education. Of the total successful candidates, 174,251 were female students, while 142,512 were male students, further emphasising the strong performance of girls.

Accessing Results and Support

Students can access their results and download mark sheets using their roll numbers and registration numbers on the official websites: https://results.odisha.gov.in and https://results.digilocker.gov.in. For any issues or discrepancies related to results or mark sheets, students can contact the helpline number 0674-2300907. The CHSE has also announced that the schedule for rechecking of answer scripts will be released within the next seven days.

During the announcement, Minister Nityananda Gond expressed his delight at the outstanding results, congratulating the students and wishing them a bright future. He highlighted the improved performance compared to previous years, crediting the hard work of students, teachers, and the education system. The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the School and Mass Education Department Secretary, Smt. Shalini Pandit, CHSE Chairman, Shri Mrunalkanti Das, Director of Higher Secondary Education, Shri Raghuram R. Iyer, CHSE Secretary, Smt. Shubrabala Behera, and Examination Controller Dr. Prashant Kumar Parida, among other senior officials.

The 2025 Plus Two results reflect Odisha’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and providing quality education across diverse streams. The strong performance of female students and the high pass rates in Science and Commerce streams are particularly encouraging, signalling a promising future for the state’s youth.
