In response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack and the subsequent Operation Sindoor, India has launched a diplomatic mission to reinforce its zero-tolerance stance against terrorism.

Seven delegations, comprising leaders from across party lines, will soon visit global capitals to project India’s unified stand and urge key nations to take a stronger stance against terror havens.

Led by prominent figures such as Shashi Tharoor, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, and Supriya Sule, these delegations will visit UN Security Council member nations and strategic allies beginning May 22. The mission aims to secure international backing for India’s new policy doctrine against terrorism, highlighting Pakistan’s repeated provocations and India’s decisive military response.

The following Members of Parliament will lead the seven delegations :

1)   Shri Shashi Tharoor, (INC)

2)   Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, (BJP)

3)   Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha, (JDU)

4)   Shri Baijayant Panda, (BJP)

5)   Smt. Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, (DMK)

6)   Smt. Supriya Sule, (NCP)

7)   Shri Shrikant Eknath Shinde, (Shiv Sena)

Under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Armed Forces conducted precision strikes on terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), eliminating over 100 terrorists. Pakistan retaliated with drone and missile attacks, triggering further countermeasures by India. Following three days of intense military engagements, Pakistan requested a ceasefire, which India accepted—but with a resolute commitment to ongoing counter-terror strategies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation, underscored that India’s response was not just an isolated military strike but a doctrinal shift, signalling a long-term policy aimed at eradicating terror networks.

With this global outreach, India seeks to solidify its position in the international fight against terrorism, ensuring that terror-sponsoring states face sustained diplomatic, economic, and strategic pressure.
