Bhubaneswar: After a gap of around two decades, the State government has decided to return around 206.685 acres land acquired by IDCO to the land owners in Ganjam district.
The State Cabinet on Friday decided to return the land to its original owners or leagal heir at Kalipalli village in Ganjam District. These lands which were acquired for Tata Project remained unutilised for 20 years.
The farmers will get back their land as per the provision of Rule 20 of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Compensation, Rehabilitation and Resettlement and Development Plan) Rules, 2015.
