The Indian Premier League has officially resumed after a brief suspension caused by heightened India-Pakistan tensions, bringing back international players to their respective franchises.

Among the first to return to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was South African pacer Lungi Ngidi, signaling the league’s return to full strength.

Joining Ngidi at RCB’s base were Indian cricketers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Agarwal, and Swapnil Singh, as the franchise aims to reignite its campaign with fresh energy. England’s Liam Livingstone and Australia’s Tim David will also be making their way back to the squad.

RCB, still in the race for playoffs, has been ramping up fan engagement through its content series “Royal Challenge presents RCB Shorts,” offering behind-the-scenes glimpses of their training sessions.

The revival of the IPL comes as security advisories have eased, allowing teams to resume full-fledged preparations across host cities. With key players back in action, RCB will look to capitalize on their reinvigorated roster to make a strong push toward the knockout stages.

South Africa, meanwhile, is gearing up for the ICC World Test Championship final against Australia in June, with several of its stars—including Ngidi—balancing IPL commitments before the prestigious clash at Lord’s.
