The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated a 15-day free counselling service for students who have just received their Class 10 and 12 board results.
With the growing concerns over academic stress, this initiative aims to provide students and parents with the emotional and psychological support they need during this crucial time.
The counselling service, which started on May 13, will run until May 28, 2025. It offers guidance through IVRS (24/7 helpline), tele-counselling, and online content, addressing stress management, emotional well-being, and exam-related anxiety.
How to Access CBSE’s Free Counselling?
- IVRS Support (24/7) – Dial 1800-11-8004 for assistance with stress, time management, and academic queries.
- Tele-Counselling (9:30 AM to 5:30 PM) – A team of 65 trained experts, including principals, counsellors, and special educators, will provide one-on-one support.
- Online Resources – CBSE has published podcasts and videos on mental health and stress management via its official website and YouTube channel.
With over 22 lakh students passing the Class 10 exam (93.66% pass rate) and nearly 15 lakh students clearing Class 12 (88.39% pass rate), the initiative aims to help students manage post-result anxiety. As students gear up for competitive exams like CUET, JEE, and NEET, CBSE’s free counselling provides much-needed guidance and reassurance.
Students can check their results on cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, DigiLocker, and UMANG app.
